Ingredients

  • 2 kg of aromatic tomatoes, like cherry tomatoes (or use some tomato mark if you only have large meaty tomatoes)
  • 1 heaped teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • Several stalks from a strong mint
  • Fresh basil, ca. 10 large leaves
  • 5 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp of oregano
  • 10 squirts of Maggi
  • Olive oil
  • Freshly ground pepper

Instructions

Takes about 20 minutes to prepare

  1. Wash the tomatoes, slice them in half, put into the blender and purée everything.
  2. Put the puréed tomatoes in a pot and slowly bring to the boil.
  3. Add the sugar, salt, vinegar, freshly ground pepper, chopped mint, chopped basil, oregano and cayenne pepper to the mix.
  4. Taste and refine with more spices as needed.
  5. If serving cold, then place the soup into the fridge for a few hours.
