Ingredients
Instructions
- Take your meat out of the fridge around an hour before you intend to cook it
- Salt the beef; recommend 1/2 tsp of salt per 500 g of meat
- Add pepper and some dashes of Maggi or Worchester sauce to the beef
- Finely chop the onion and fry at a medium heat using the olive oil until the onion is glassy. Set on one side and let cool.
- Add the onion to the beef and mix it up nicely, either using a spoon or your hands
- Once everything is well mixed, make burger patties weighing 125 g each
- Make sure that the barbecue or grill you cook on is very hot. For rare burgers, cook the first side for approximately 2 minutes
- Flip the burger and put the cheese on the patty. Cook another 2 minutes
- Simultaneously, while cooking the burgers, get your buns toasted
- Prepare the bottom of the bun with some BBQ sauce, add the burger, then lettuce, tomato and roasted onions, before closing it with the other half of the bun (add more sauce if you like)
- Enjoy
